Arts & Sciences Online Learning offers select credit courses for Penn students and visiting students in summer. Courses are hosted in Canvas, Penn’s learning management system, and are available to students all the time, from any location. Course websites enable students to monitor course progress and grades, post text, video, and audio responses, participate in class activities, and upload assignments. All Penn online courses have associated synchronous online meetings as a required part of the course (see dates and times by clicking on course title). During these live sessions, participants will have the opportunity to participate in discussions, deliver presentations, faculty Q&A, and peer group projects. These synchronous sessions are hosted in either Adobe Connect or Zoom. For recommended system requirements and orientation resources, please see online learning student resources.
In addition to regular tuition and fees, each online credit course includes an associated $150 fee to support the costs of technology platforms, equipment, digital and remote services, and staff required to offer online courses.
