Course Description
The MCS Capstone research series fulfills the research project requirement for graduation from the Master of Chemical Sciences program. The students will work with their Research Advisor obtaining necessary skills & research for their capstone requirement, but will not be completing or presenting the Capstone Final Research Paper. This course is usually to give the students dedicated time to work on research part-time (~20 h per week) or full-time (> 35h per week) as planned with their research mentor at the beginning of the semester. Students will complete by the deadline a MCS Technical Research report describing work accomplished. The Capstone Research is to be scholarly in scope, well-researched, organized and professional, and that contributes to the knowledge base or improves practice in the chemical sciences.
