High School Students

Penn Summer High School programs are open to high school students living in the US and across the globe. Join your peers from around the world on Penn’s campus this summer, studying and living in an Ivy League environment.

Penn Summer Prep Program
This two-week program offers non-credit, immersive study in disciplines across the sciences, arts, and humanities. Students choose two modules to focus their studies as they experience college life on Penn’s historic campus and explore the vibrant city of Philadelphia.
Penn Summer Academies
For three intensive weeks, these non-credit academies encourage students to dive deep into exploratory research in a specific subject area, including biomedical research, chemistry, experimental physics, mathematics, neuroscience, and social justice.
Coding Camp
For three weeks, this non-credit program formally introduces students to the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to explore the field of computer programming.
Pre-College Program
For the full undergraduate residential experience, the Pre-College Program allows high school students to live, eat, and study on campus as they take six-week, for-credit courses alongside Penn undergraduates.
Young Scholars Program
Philadelphia-area high school students can elect to commute to campus for six-week, for-credit courses alongside Penn undergraduates, offering a challenging liberal arts university experience as well as college credit.
